Job Description:

Job Title: TBD, Chief Operations Officer or VP Operations

Executive Summary: Responsible for managing the company's day-to-day construction operations and reporting them to the Chief Executive Officer or Executive Director. The primary role is operations management; responsible for the development, design, operation and improvement of all facets of construction operations. Ensuring that construction operations are efficient and effective and that the proper management of personnel, resources, distribution of goods and services to customers, and analysis of queue systems is conducted. Communicate and stress the companys safety mission statement and culture through all operations and systems so that it infiltrates and makes a positive impression on employees actions.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with a dotted line to the Executive Director (XD)

Responsible for: Directly responsible for managing the following senior department heads and making sure each department provides the required services to ensure success for the company:

1. Regional Area Manager(s)
2. Director of Pre-Construction & Estimating
3. Director of Construction Operations (and Project Directors/Executives)
4. Director of Contracting and Controls
5. Director of Procurement & Logistics
6. Corporate Cost Control Manager
7. Corporate Planning & Scheduling Manager

Job Purpose: To provide effective leadership and management in project development, constructing and managing federal, industrial, commercial and any other projects and business units in furtherance of the companys objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop the departmental strategic plans for operations department and ensures approval by the CEO and Executive Director.
2. Leads the department in implementing the strategic plan.
3. Ensures that all new projects are well researched and exhaustive consultation and involvement of all the stakeholders is undertaken in order to ensure quality products and profitable sale.
4. Ensures that all departmental staff, especially the department heads and senior managers are professionally managed, mentored and developed as part of performance management practice.
5. Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement plans for the respective departments. Ensure high performance management operations teams; attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
6. Directs Regional Area Managers to ensure company compliance with the follow: subcontracts, staffing, client requirements, reporting and contractual issues.
7. Regular travel to Regional Offices to direct and oversee operations and personnel and meet with clients and subcontractors as required.
8. Liaises with Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in order to attract the support of Financial Institutions and solicits their cooperation in order to provide financing to Companys third party construction business and ensures its growth and independence as separate business unit.
9. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
