GENERAL DESCRIPTION This person will be a driven, results oriented leader with demonstrated success in driving business results and achieving performance goals. This individual will possess technical finance and construction experience and will assist us in gaining speed and adding value to the product we are delivering. We are looking for someone to be a part of our leadership team and to help our team grow in our ability to deliver an increasing number of projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES Developing preliminary conceptual project budget estimate based on test fits and/or space plans. Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new design build programs/strategies, and regulatory action. Contractor procurement by preparing request for proposals (RFP's) for general contractor, review bid proposals, make award recommendations, and prepare contract for execution. Schedule and conduct project status meetings for procedures, progress and scheduling. Thrive on the challenge of building a startup business by acquiring high quality vertical commercial projects. Wear many hats including driving business development strategies and preconstruction activities while managing financial objectives, day to day operational activities, and executing your strategic business plan. Serve as advisor, providing on-going guidance and recommendations to the President/CEO and other members of the leadership team on matters relative to construction related contracts. Develop a strong network and reputation among specialty sub-contractors and with the owners, architects, engineers, and private markets. Serve as owner's representative with outside general contractors including setting high expectations and overseeing budgets, project schedules, and ensuring ontime completion within budget. Motivate and provjde leadership to direct reports including coaching and development as appropriate. Please note that this job description is not all-inclusive. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (construction, business, or finance) preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience; including sound finance/budgeting experience and oversight of design/construction projects. Demonstrated leadership ability and experience. Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus. Proven success in a start-up culture; drive and motivation to see a business grow and accept the challenge to make it happen. Ability to multi-task across a range of projects. Prioritize to effectively follow through with multiple projects and meet deadlines. Good educator who is willing to share information and mentor others. Excellent negotiator who has experience with and understands design and construction contracts. Decisive individual who possesses a
